The term ‘ISO’ is actually not the name of the tank, but instead represents an organisation. ISO stands for International Organisation for Standardisation. As tanks cannot be manufactured without procedures, it is important that a tank undergoes checking before being sold to manufacturers or customers.

The International Organisation for Standardisation ensures that all tanks are suitable to be used and needs to certify them before they are ready to be sold. It is a standard requirement for all these tank containers to meet the standard. If not, serious negative consequences can be faced and will be dangerous for the transportation of any material.

There are many functions of the tank and why you should buy ISO tanks. For manufacturers, suppliers or big companies, ISO tanks are essential for their business as they need to transport these materials from point A to B. The safest way to do so would be through the usage of ISO tanks.

What is an ISO tank?

The tank is must be made of the most durable material. In this case, it is stainless steel. Stainless steel has a long history of lasting for a long time and resistance to rust. Types of tanks

1. Vacuum tank

This tank is the best, as it has pumps to suck liquid from underground or to transport substance from a container to the tank or vice versa. Petrol is transported by a vacuum tank to the station where the petrol will be filled up in storage tanks underground through the vacuum pipes.

Important features like the high-pressure pump are needed as it will require high sucking power. In some vacuum pump package, there is also a sliding vane pump and liquid ring pump to create negative air pressure. Suction hoses are usually 2 to 4 inches in diameter. 2. Storage Tanks

Besides the vacuum and transportation, there will, of course, iso tank for storage available. Industries like the wine industry would need this as they slowly brew their beers and wine in a caring environment. The protective layers of storage tanks are also designed differently for those of other purposes. Another example would be the liquid waste tank where wastes are stored for later disposal or decomposition.

In the strictest sense, fiberglass is a trademark. It comes from the Owens-Corning Company that came into being in 1938 by Russell Games Slayter. This material is made from fine glass fibers that were initially intended to be utilized as insulators. At that time, the material went to the market with the name fiberglass. Afterwards, it became a name for any product that contained glass fibers.

Glass is what makes up fiberglass Malaysia, which is the basic element of glassware. The difference is that glass found in fiberglass is melted and extruded via the micron-thin hole to form threads of glass. The outer layer of FRP tanks gets covered with a gel coat. Gelcoat, which provides a high-quality, shiny, and smooth finish on fiberglass material surface, is a modified resin. Since the gel coat is as tough as fiberglass, when you apply it to fiberglass, it becomes more resistant to the majority of elements.

However, with time, it tarnishes and its colour fades, becoming dull. The continued exposure to air and sun oxidizes the gel coat layer. Even though there is no apparent red-brown or orange tinge present on the surface while oxidizing, the whole process is still similar to metal corrosion.

FRP oxidation is recognizable when the fiberglass material colour starts becoming dull and begins to fade. As it continues to take place, microscopic crevices and holes start forming on the gel coat surface. The wax is too heavy, therefore making it impenetrable into the pits and holes. Surfaces of rust can be found in any of these areas. 

When the wax gets applied to the unfilled holes of gel coat, the air gets trapped under it, which then makes fiberglass oxidation to continue. For you stop oxidation of fiberglass completely, it is recommended that you fill these crevices and holes before starting to apply wax. You need to use fiberglass Malaysia sealants and sealers to seal them.

Unlike wax, FRP sealants are light enough to penetrate the microscopic holes and fill them to create glossy and smooth surfaces. Additionally, it acts as the barrier between the gel coat and elements. Plus, the FRP sealant provides a tough coat layer to the whole fiberglass material. After filling all the micron-sized holes, the wax then gets applied to give the surface a brand new look.
